Focus areas

The Competence Center is located at the Swedish Red Cross University, and its focus areas are:

  • Inventory of primary needs to link clinical work with education and a long-term vision of research
  • Operational responsibility for initiating projects related to knowledge development within the subject area
  • Creation of relationships and collaboration with authorities, national and regional healthcare agencies, and various units and departments within the Swedish Red Cross
  • Promotion of collaboration between experts and actors in this field in Sweden and internationally.

Change for better health and improved well-being

Many efforts are already made today to provide support and treatment to people suffering from war or torture trauma. Focusing on the survivors, the Competence Center aims to put the patient and the person at the centre of its work.
